Natasha Coleman

 

Natasha is the daughter of the late Robert Shivers and Blannie King.  She has 3 older sisters. Natasha was raised in a Christian environment and grew up singing with her sisters in area churches where they were known as the Shivers' Sisters.

 

Natasha was born and raised in Florida where most of her family still resides.  After finishing high school Natasha married the love of her life David when that union was joined Natasha became the step-mother of 2 girls and one boy, Christopher, Kristin and Kayla.  Natasha also gave birth to Justin and seven years later to boy and girl twins Jayona and Joshua.  (Yes, that's right 6 kids)  With working full time as a sales representative at Knology and a husband and 6 kids, Natasha started to realize that she was forgetting who she was.  She felt that she was only considered as David's wife  or mother of the Coleman Kids.  Natasha dealt with several years of depression and loneliness in a house full of people.  She felt she had no purpose, she had 6 kids she was overweight and stressed out from daily living and then her best friend died from the results of a car accident at age 24.  Natasha dealt with her depression alone because she didn't want to bother anyone from their daily duties.

 

In early 2008, Natasha found the wonderful world of Pageantry.  She participated in her first national pageant in Dallas, Texas and couldn't get enough of it.  Natasha had found herself again, she realized she wanted to live her life to the fullest and never look back on those years of darkest. Natasha's platform in Positive Body Image and loving who you are today.  Natasha no longer focuses on negative things and giving all of her attention to positive things.  Natasha's family uses the pageant travel dates as family vacation dates, everyone is involved.
