What was your reaction when your name was called?
When my name was called... My immediate thought was, OMG! That's my name! Oh! Oh! Get up silly!!! Haha. And while I was walking up to the stage, I kept saying "God is good... God is so good!... Thank you God!"
What was going through your mind when your name was announced at the 2011 American Beauties Plus Elite Ambassador?
Answer:
WHAT!?! They just called my name... ME!?! That was my first thought ~ my heart started racing and my hands were trembling, I could barely walk as I made my way towards the stage to be crowned as the 2011 American Beauties Plus Elite Ambassador. I felt so many emotions at the same time and remember telling myself "don't cry - hold it togther because if you start crying you won't stop!" Earlier that evening I had already recieved a an amazing surprise and blessing when I was crowned Miss Congeniality after being selected by my sister queens - I felt so honored! Everything happened so quickly, I felt as if I was riding an emotional rollercoaster of disbelief and sheer joy and as that ride slowed down and came to a stop at the end of the evening, I felt so blessed and humbled!
In 1999 I began competing in pageants and since have had the opportunity to be a part of many different pageant systems... I truly believe the greatest gift I have taken home as an American Beaties Plus queen is my new pageant family. Our Queen Mum Angela is an amazing director - she is the most organized and dedicated pageant director I have ever had the honor of working with. My new ABP family; Team Supreme, Lifetime Queens, Mr Ambassadors, and all of my reigning sister Queens & Ambassadors along with all of the State Queens made my experience at this year's pageant my most memorable pageant experience... one I will never forget!
God Bless,
Ani Hudgins
What was going through your mind when your name was called as Classic Woman Queen?
Answer: When I heard my name called as Classic Woman Queen 2011, I shed a tear both in happiness and for my mom, who was in full support of me pursuing the ABP title. My crown is dedicated to her memory.
What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the Classic Woman Ambassador?

ABP: What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the Woman Queen?
Answer: When they called my name I just started laughing thinking "Oh my God, I won!" It was the most amazing feeling, and it was magnified when I heard my Mom yell, "That's my baby!"
What went through your mind when your name was announced as Woman Ambassador?
Answer: I thought to myself, well you won something, it is either Queen or Ambassador. It felt like a long time standing there, but it was mere moments. My pageant sister whom I was competing with said to me, "Get ready your going to win queen"! I told her, don't say that, because you never know what the judges are looking for, we both have a chance to win. She said, "yeah right." My name was called for Ambassador. She was shocked and I was a little dissapointed. Then I said to myself after my name was called, What can I do with an Ambassador title? I had to think of what the word "Ambassador" really meant. What is the context in which it is used in pagentry? How can I make the best of the title that I earned?
Websters dictionary defined Ambassador as an official envoy, a diplomatic representative of the highest rank appointed for a special diplomatic assignment, often of good will. I said, "Well then, I will do the best I can." I was happy for my fellow contestants and was very proud for all that I had accomplished. I not only won Woman Ambassador, I won talent, spokesmodel, portfolio, and was also given a Certificate Award for "Excellence" in my committment to my platform-"volunteering." The letter that I wrote for my husband also was chosen to be read and he was selected to be the next "Senior Mr. Ambassador". I thought to myself, not bad, not too bad at all. Then I said to myself, " I can't wait to get my shoes off!"
What went through your mind when your name was called for the Mrs. Queen?
Answer: When I was standing on stage holding Shayla's hand, I knew either way it went that I was in for an amazing year! When I realized that I was the Queen, my heart jumped in my throat! I looked at my son who was giving me the thumbs up signal and my husband who was beaming with pride! I was so honored that out of all the amazing women in my division that I had been chosen the Queen.
What was going through your mind when your name was called as the Mrs. Ambassador?
Answer: The moment was surreal to me. I remember looking at Heather T., smiling, and squeezing her hand. I panned the audience and saw all the smiles. I looked at my husband as he smiled and nodded. My kids were on the edge of their seats! I thought “regardless of which name is called, it will be my moment and I will enjoy it!” When they called my name, honestly, a gamut of emotions flooded my mind, all positive! It had been a whirlwind few days and I was surprisingly relieved. I knew the real work was getting ready to start for me and that crown! When Heather G. came to crown me, the crown just did not want to stay on! It fell 2-3 times and we all laughed. But the best moment occurred when I heard my daughter, MiKayla, yell through the silence, "“THAT’S MY MOMMA!”" That was the epitome to me
What was your reaction when your name was called as Ms. American Beauties Plus Queen?
Answer: All the preparation I did never prepared me for the moment my name was announced as Ms. American Beauties Plus 2011. It was completely surreal. When I heard my husband cheering for me, I started to tear up, even though I swore I never would do that. It was an incredible feeling.
What was going through your mind when your name was called for Ms. American Beauties Plus Ambassador?
Answer: When I heard my name called as Ms Ambassador I was in shock. I was happy that I had won, but all that was on my mind was if my baby girls name would be called as the winner in the teen competition...I love my baby!
What went through your mind when you were announced as the 2011 Miss American Beauties Plus Queen?
Answer: When they announced my name I thought, "Yes, that's me. The next 365 days are going to be absolutely amazing I can't wait to call my mom and tell her I won."

On-Stage Question – 10% of score
You will be given an on-stage question following evening gown. The question will be easy and will give the judges an idea of how you answer the question. You will be judged on Poise, Stage Personality, Stage Presentation, and Confidence in answering the question.
